Farm Luck Soda Fountain & Dry Goods

Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Waxahachie, Texas. This converted bank turned old fashion soda jerk gives the feeling of going back to a simpler time. The seating and decor leaves brings back a time where Waxahachie was the rail city in its splendor. The menu is simple with only a couple of food items such as, sandwiches, soup and salad, to make way for what brings you back as a kid, the ice cream. They have a huge banana split that puts the dallas fair to shame and need a crowd of hungry kids or three football players to scarf it down. The ice cream they use is blue bell so you know this small town cafe loves its texas roots through and through. behind the soda fountain there is a candy store with an assortment of candies you rarely see now a days. this is a great place to sit and have lunch after church, or convince the kids to come antique shopping with little resistance. Come check out this great piece of history restored to a yummy future.

The root beer cream soda (picture) was not what I originally ordered. I ended up not like what I ordered a whole bunch, I took a gamble with something different. Owner (I think) overheard me say I wasn’t the biggest fan and made a replacement (that I loved) himself. This place is awesome. Food, soda, ice cream and service all highly recommended.

Tasty ice cream!!! Cute place and friendly people. I’ve been many times and it’s mostly a really great experience. Occasionally I get an “eh” food day, but not enough to not return. Usually it’s spot of for a good sandwich and taco soup. Coffee is French press which is pretty good too!

Such delicious food and wonderful staff! I had the Aunt Sandy’s chicken salad and it lived up to the hype! 😋 Best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The Egg Nog Shake was deliciously sweet and creamy! My kids loved the candy shop in the back. 😄 The soups were so good as well! Will definitely be coming back for lunch!

Old fashion sodas and shakes. They make their own sodas like back in the Grandpa days.

Prices were perfect for what you get and everyone was pleasant. A little more signage about whether you seat yourself, wait to be seated, or order first would be nice but not a huge deal. Pimento with jalapeño is exactly what I imagine when I think of a pimento sandwich. Spot on!The tomato side dish was a little disappointing compared to the rest of the items on the menu but it is as described - a plate of sliced tomatoes.Overall solid spot and I'll be back.

This is my 2nd visit. Sandwiches are ok but not great. My BLT was dry, not enough mayo, lettuce or tomato but the bacon was crispy and plentiful. Strawberry soda is delicious. The jalapeno pimento cheese was pretty boring and the same could be said for the broccoli and cheese soup. This is upgraded fast food but it's not very fast

this is a really cool spot in the middle of waxahachie Texas to have a bit of lunch and a conversation with a friend. I like the fact that it has outdoor dining as well as indoor, but I wish they had Wi-Fi. but you're not going there for the electronics, if you go there get the food. The service is polite without being pestering and it's in a great location on the square.

It's a cute place, right across street from historic bldg. More farm theme than actual fresh farm to market food.

I love this place! The servers are friendly, the food is delicious and it is just a great place to eat. Bring your family and deffenitly remember to check out the Candy shop in the back. My kiddo loves it.

Stopped in for just a malt, and we ended up staying for a sandwich. It was GREAT!! I highly recommend "The Farm Club"

Super cute little sandwhich shop and ice cream parlor in one. Cozy atmosphere set in the middle of downtown. Went with a group of 20 and they were polite and organized, serving us quickly and with kindness. Drinks served in mason jars (the lemonade was fantastic) and their cups of soup are served in cute cups. Food was delicious and their fruit was fresh. I would be here once a week if I lived here, but sadly I only visited briefly.

Friday last was my second visit to this hidden gem.I love the hometown atmosphere. Fresh food, yummy shakes, the ice cream reminds me of days gone by. It's fun inside and out.

It's a fun nostalgic soda fountain style from the past kinda place. The food is good... Which leads to the only problem... It's usually crowded. Oh well... I'll stand in line... Thank you very much. They're worth it.

Nice view on the street, half soup and half sandwich order was my good choice for lunch. The servers are friendly and helpful. They even gave me the new soda for togo. Recommended!

Located in super cozy and historic downtown Waxahachie is where you’ll find this great eatery. I enjoyed my lunch here. This place is simple and homey. The soups were delicious and definitely tasted of homemade, my broccoli cheese soup was thick and piping hot just like it’s supposed to be. The sandwich was built perfectly and while a club is a Club this was a good one! Busy at lunch but great atmosphere nonetheless. Did not order one but their desserts looked AMAZING. Next time I am in town I will be ordering one of their delicious looking shakes. They also have a really cool old fashioned candy shop in the back. This place has the charm other chain spots in town lack. Defining coming back!

Wonderful atmosphere and delicious treats. My son and I enjoyed our root beer floats. The candy shop really won him over 😂Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful little quaint place for a good sandwich and they even have old school Ice Cream Sodas. Loved it and will return.

Farm Luck is my go-to for Sunday lunch. Everyone is so nice and the food will not disappoint. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been many, many times. The fountain drinks are the best and their ice cream is perfection.

My husband and I love this restaurant, they have great food and a great atmosphere! The ice cream and homemade sodas are a nice touch and the decor is cute and homey! Overall definitely somewhere we will frequent often and refer to others 🙂

A friend of mine told me about this place. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before. It's a really cute and unique place downtown on Jefferson across from the court house. We went yesterday together for a mom and kids lunch date. I ordered a PB&J for my daughter and a chicken salad sandwich for my son which both came with ruffles chips. I ordered a farmhouse salad and added chicken. We got lemonade and tea which came in cute Mason jars. The food was really good and you get free drink refills on fountain and tea. For desert I got us all a banana split to share. It was enough for all 6 of us! It was delicious! I highly recommend trying this place!
